Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available in Renton, WA, serving a K-12 school setting. This contract position spans the current school year with an end date of June 30, 2026.
Ideal candidates will have experience supporting students with severe emotional and behavioral needs and working with medically fragile children. Familiarity with Native American cultures is highly preferred, reflecting the school community served. Previous school-based occupational therapy assistant experience will be considered favorably.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Washington State COTA license required
- Clearance of OSPI fingerprints
- Willingness to complete Bureau of Indian Education credentialing process, which may delay start by up to one week
- Strong ability to address diverse learning and health needs from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary educational teams

Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy support tailored to students with behavioral health and medical challenges
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with teachers and school staff
